       現在不少人買小套房投資或自住，考量小坪數的套房使用空間少，現在建商會使用挑高加夾層的方式，讓空間增加功能性，使套房不再只單純睡覺休憩的地方，還具有公寓般的優質生活延展機能。此外，加上室內設計師的巧思，視覺安排及收納規劃，往往可把小坪數套房變成魔術大空間，使得寸土寸金的都會生活，擁有更高功能及品質規劃。

       One House，這間位在新北市大樓的套房，室內面積僅有7.5坪，建商將三米六挑高空間隔成樓中樓，廚房、浴室、客廳、臥室一應俱全，生活機能高。屋主家庭成員共有3人，原從25坪的生活物件轉換這7.5坪空間，雖考量居住者平日晚餐後，才會回家使用空間，假日也是傾向戶外休閒活動，使用該空間生活的時間短，但家庭成員的物品收納仍是一大挑戰。設計師鄭士傑發揮巧思，企圖在迷你小套房增加收納空間，並根據屋主一家人的生活習慣及需求，提昇空間機能性；此外，更延伸藝術家野口勇用幾何圖形及雕刻來試做空間，藉由無所不在的設計趣味，創造舒適美好的生活感受。

       One House的空間機能是設計重點，鄭士傑將整個空間重新安排，採取開放式規劃，少了牆壁阻擋，增加視線舒適度。起居室設計部分，為創造單一空間的多功能性，去除沙發家具，鋪上榻榻米，可同時作為客廳、視聽室、遊戲區與臥室等多元使用；更採用多功能旋臂燈，可隨時轉動方向，作為閱讀燈或用餐桌燈使用。為創造小空間的擴張視覺效果，落地窗採用風琴簾，兼具隱密性，又能讓光線透入，增加居住的視覺舒適性，更善用鏡面素材製造空間的穿透感。此外，把靠近窗台的角落設計成衣物展示區，可擺放經常會穿到的衣服或是帽子，拿取方便又具有裝飾性的功能。 廁所設計部分，特將洗手臺設在廁所外頭，增加其使用功能；並考量家中兩位成人使用時機重疊，故特設置兩座，牆面上更設計了化妝品層架，貼心女性使用者；此外，廁所門更採用旋轉門板設計，減少開門佔據走道的面積。二樓空間則規劃為主臥室及衣物間，木作的衣物間側邊更採透明隔板設計，裡頭增加照明，使得晚間有透出溫暖光線，具有夜燈功能。

       關於收納部分，鄭士傑根據現實應用層面，放入設計巧思。首先，入門口處的多功能桌面，平日做為閱讀工作檯，也可因應需求往外拉成五人座的用餐空間。起居室則隱藏了強大的收藏空間，設計師將高起的榻榻米底下設計為收納空間，而三階樓梯側邊則設置鞋子放置櫃，一般人放眼放去僅會看到平面以上側邊的收納櫃、衣物展示區，以及內嵌的層架，視覺乾淨俐落。廁所部分，於馬桶上方設計一個多功能置物櫃，門片規劃於側邊，拉下來可放置衣物，十分便利。此外，衣物間則因應高度及空間限制，內部採用軌道滑輪式設計，讓使用者選取物好方便。

       喜歡玩創意的鄭士傑，在此空間的美學上也做出有趣的新嘗試。首先，他在整體木質調與柔和大地色系的空間裡，特於桌面採用明亮的藍色，更以烤漆玻璃的材質，製造視覺驚奇，恍如一座泳池進駐，帶給空間沁涼感受；樓梯採用懸空極簡的扶手，從落地窗望過去，與桌面跳色呼應，有如泳池扶手的美好錯覺。再者，為柔和視覺，設計師在細節處多用幾何圓弧線條處理，如起居室的衣物展示區之有機流線造型、電視櫃區上方的弧形牆面裝飾、廁所的弧形天花板，以及復古太空艙圓角形狀的衣物間等，創造溫良的整體感。此外，設計師也在此空間放入實驗性的元素，如地板特採用小碎石花色的PVC材質，耐磨且符合空間氣質；樓梯側面使用嵌入設計，由側面可見結構之美；此外，更將黑色美耐板及銀色鋁鉑等新材質放入起居室的壁面裝飾上，企圖將原本日式柔和略帶復古氣息的空間，加入對比感官，呈現出現代空間語彙。

It is not uncommon for modern people to purchase suites in the urban area, no matter for private use or investment. To expand useable space, construction companies would usually add a mezzanine floor to a high-ceilinged suite, making it a well-functioning space that guarantees high life quality rather than just a place to stay overnight. If supplemented with brilliant design ideas, proper arrangement of visual elements and careful storage capacity planning, the small suite could get fully optimized, enabling the dwellers to lead a life above average in a crowded city.

One House is a 3.6-meter duplex suite in New Taipei City whose floor space is only 22.68m2. However, it contains everything that a typical apartment has, including a living room, a kitchen area, a bathroom and a bedroom. The three members. They of the family living here usually do not come home until after dinner and tend to spend their holidays outdoors, so they actually do not spend much time here. Nevertheless, since they originally lived in an apartment of 82.64 m2, the storage capacity planning of an even smaller suite became a huge challenge. According to the family’s needs and life habits, designer Shih-Chieh Jeng figured out several ways to make sufficient room for storage . Besides, inspired by artist Isamu Noguchi’s works, which are based on geometric forms, Jeng filled the space with amusing designs that could contribute to a better, cozier life.

The key point of the interior design in One House is to make the space functional. Open plan layout gives a greater sense of space, and Jeng, by applying specular materials, managed to make the suite looks more roomy. With no large pieces of furniture, such as table or sofa, but tatami mats in the living room, the space could also perform the functions of audiovisual room, play area and bedroom. The swing arm wall lamps here could be directed at will to serve as reading lamps or dinner lighting. Covering the French window, the cellular shade could allow the sun to shine inyet meanwhile protect the dwellers’ privacy. The corner beside the window is a special display area for clothes or hats constantly used, which is both convenient and ornamental. As for the design of bathroom, a space-saving pivot door is installed in order not to block the passage leading to the entrance. Two sinks, one for each adults, are set outside of the bathroom to enable more frequent use; on the wall above is a shelf for the hostess to place her cosmetics and makeup applicators. Bedroom and closet are on the mezzanine floor. At night, the warm illumination coming from inside the closet would shine through the translucent partition and act as nightlight.

To meet the practical need for storage area, Jeng came up with several ideas. The desk not far away from the entrance is usually for the purpose of reading, but this extending table could become a dining table for up to five people as well. Beneath the tatami mats in the living room is a capacious storage area, so is the space in the wall next to the stair, where hide the shoe cabinets. This design ensures the tidiness of the apartment, since all people could see at first sight are only a few storage boxes in the corner, the display area and three embedded shelves. As to the bathroom, there is a multifunctional cabinet above the toilet whose door plank on the side could be used as clothes rack. In addition, since the clothes cabinet is limited in terms of space and height, pulley sliding track is utilized to make it more convenient for one to pick out the clothes to wear.

Jeng also made some creative new attempts in this suite. First, in the space mainly consisting of wood texture and earth tone, he intentionally chose azure baked enamel paint for the glass of the tabletop, providing a sharp contrast to the surroundings. Besides, seen from the position of French window, the minimalist stair railing floating above the table gives the illusion that there is a cool swimming pool right in the room. Moreover, to soften the visual effect, many details are formed with graceful curves, like the streamlines in the display area, the curved wall panel above the TV cabinet, the round ceiling in the bathroom and the clothes cabinet that looks just like a retro space capsule with rounded corners. Jeng also introduced some innovative elements to the space. For instance, the PVC floor with gravel pattern is highly resistant to wear and harmonizes well with the overall interior design. Plus, the staircase is embedded in the wall, whose beauty of structure could be admired from the side. Finally, by adding black melamine board and silver aluminum foil to the wall decoration in living room, Jeng brought modern components into the vintage Japanese-style design, a masterful blend of classic and modern elements.

昨今、投資や居住目的によるワンルームマンションの購入が増えてきた。狭小物件は空間に限りがあるが故に、その用途を拡張するため、多くが吹き抜けスタイルを採用し、単なる空間から快適な居住スペースとしての機能を確保している。デザイナーの創意工夫により狭小空間は、収納スペースを十分に備え、かつ広々として開放的な空間へと姿を変えた。地価高騰の都市生活において豊かな機能と質がもたらされたのである。

One Houseは、新北市に位置する分譲マンションのワンルーム。僅か7.5坪しかないこの空間に、天井高3.5メートルの吹き抜け、ロフトが設けられ、キッチン、浴室、リビング、寝間など必要な機能はすべて備えた物件である。依頼主は小学生の息子一人がいる夫婦で、以前は25坪のマンションに住んでいたが、この7.5坪の狭小住宅に移り住むことに何ら迷いはなかった。なぜなら両親が徒歩10分圏内に住むため、平日も家族が自分のうちに帰宅するのはほぼ就寝直前、休日も朝早くから子供の習い事やスポーツなどで帰りは夕飯を食べてからということがしばしばという生活スタイルから、仮に小さくても利便性が高く快適な空間でさえあればよかった。とは言え、この空間にいかに豊かな生活空間を与えるかは、やはり大きな挑戦と言えた。空間デザイナー鄭士傑はアイデアを尽くしこの狭小物件に十分な収納スペースを与え、家族の生活習慣に合わせた機能の拡張を最優先にした。また芸術家イサム・ノグチ特有の幾何学と彫刻的手法を参考に空間を組み立てることで、空間の至る場所に遊び心溢れるデザインを完成させたのと同時に、心地良く豊かな生活スタイルを生み出すことに成功した。

One Houseにおいて特筆すべきは、そのデザイン性だけでなく機能性の高さである。まず、壁を取払うことにより見通しの良い開放的な空間を生み出した。単一空間内に多くの機能を同時に付与するべくソファーが取り払われ、ホームシアター、休息スペース、寝間など、多目的な用途へ姿を変えるべく、台湾の一般家庭ではめずらしい畳敷きが採用された。壁に取り付けられた回転式のアームライトは、必要に応じて読書灯やダイニングライトとしてのフレキシブルな使用を可能にした。さらに空間を広々とみせるため、フランス窓にはプリーツスクリーンを設置、外部との距離感を確保しながら、視界に心地よい日光空間を提供している。他にも、鏡面素材の利用により空間に透明感を与える、衣類収納を窓際に設けて利便性かつディスプレイとしての美的センスの発揮等工夫がこらされている。家族の生活習慣に見合うよう、洗面台は二台設置、また浴室の外側に置くことで、家族の忙しい朝の動線をよりスムーズにしている。廊下スペースに影響のないようドアには回転式のものが採用された。ロフト部分はサブ寝間兼ウォークインクローゼット。木目調に仕上げられたウォークインクローゼットに使用された透過素材により、夜間は内部から外を照らす間接照明として、家族空間に暖かな光を提供している。

狭小物件における収納において、鄭はそのデザイン性と機能性の共存にもっとも注力し、工夫を凝らした。まずは多目的テーブルである。普段はワークデスクとして使用できるこのテーブルは伸張式となっており、必要に応じて５～6人が同時に利用できるダイニングテーブルとなる。居間の畳床下には、大量の収納スペースが隠されており、大型の荷物を大量に収納することができる。またロフトへと伸びる階段横には化粧棚が備えられ、日常的に使用する小物や化粧品を美しく陳列、収納できる。人々の注意を引く衣類棚のディスプレイと埋め込み式のウォールシェルフにより、よりスタイリッシュな空間が生まれた。トイレには上方にシェルフを、側方には衣類収納用のフラップラックを取り付けることで、生活のあらゆるニーズにこたえることができる仕様となっている。他にもウォークインクローゼットには移動式のレールを採用、限られたスペースを最大限に活用できる使い勝手のよいデザインとなっている。

色使いにおいても、空間を美しく仕上げるための、鄭の独創的な試みがうかがえる。空間全体を木目調や温和な自然色で仕上げる一方、鮮やかなブルーに塗装されたガラス面のテーブルを空間の真ん中に配置することで、驚きあふれる斬新な視覚効果を生みだすことに成功した。窓側から眺めると、テーブル面の鮮色が、右手にある軽やかな形状の手すりと相まった視覚効果により、まるでプールサイドのような情景を生み出した。空間を柔らかく仕上げるために、細部には幾何学的曲線が多用されている。流線型の衣類棚、孤を描く壁面装飾など全体に柔和な印象が造り上げられ、デザイナー独自の実験的要素が垣間みることができる。耐摩性に優れるだけでなく全体の雰囲気に馴染むようにと床材に選ばれた石目調のPVC床材、美しい構造美を魅せる嵌め込み式の階段、黒色ベニヤ板と銀色アルミニウムの組み合わせなど、様々な素材により全体の雰囲気を作り出している。柔和な和風空間と現代的な風合いの融合により、空間全体のコントラストは引き締められ、現代的な手法をもって表現されたのがOne Houseの特徴である。
